Founder Chairman’s Message
A mission to educate with wisdom and service.
Dear Friend,
As a child, I learned the value of a solid education. Even when I was failing school, my father refused to let me stay home and simply farm the land. As an adult, I have become more aware of the need for education in this country, and not just an ordinary education, but rather an education of mind, body and soul, an education producing wisdom. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10a). This is my firm belief. Thus, since 1966, it has been my aim to raise a group of young men and women in the fear of the Lord and with the best education.
In the following year, I established my first English Medium School with only fourteen students. I called the school, Emmanuel Mission School. Emmanuel means “God with us.” One of the names for Jesus Christ, it is the solution to all problems and the source of all blessing. Every child, parent, family and nation that stands with God will be blessed. Through the fear of the Lord, they will stand strong and will rapidly progress upon the path of advancement.
As a testimony to this, the first Emmanuel Mission School has developed into the Emmanuel School Society, with presently 120 schools and 49,000 students. Today our schools are seeking to develop a nation with a high standard of value and morality. We are educating students not only intellectually, but also morally and physically. An all round development of the student is our ultimate goal.
I would like to thank the parents who are joining us in this mission to educate the youth of our nation. By sending your child/children to our Emmanuel School, you are contributing to the furtherance of education and the growth of your child. It is my sincere prayer that all the children who pass through doors of our schools will go out into our land and transform it into a powerful and beautiful nation.
Yours in His glad service,
Dr. M. A. Thomas

Founder Chairman’s Vision
Late Archbishop Dr. M. A. Thomas was the Founder Chairman of Emmanuel School Society, remembered as a man of compassion. He was promoted to glory on 04 Dec., 2010.
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Emmanuel Greetings!
We are blessed to have the opportunity to serve you by looking after physical fitness, mental growth, alertness, emotional sensitivity and spiritual awakening of your dear child.
Formal education was not something Dr. M. A. Thomas adopted well as a child. His poor father, however, understood the importance of a solid foundation of learning and insisted that he continue to study. In time, his grades improved, as well as his appreciation for the education he received. He also cleaved to the knowledge that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” It is this principle that guided him along a very exciting pathway in life.
Believing in a God-given vision, he opened the first Emmanuel Mission School in 1967. From that small beginning with one school, today by the grace of God, many Emmanuel Mission Schools have been established in various parts of our great nation. He sincerely considered it a profound privilege to participate in the development of our nation’s children.
He wanted to see that students in Emmanuel grow beyond academic excellence. More importantly, Emmanuel Mission Schools also focus on the spiritual and physical growth of each child, developing leaders for tomorrow by teaching them to serve their families, communities and nation in a spirit of love.
It is our desire to instill in your ward an urge for a continuous quest for love, beauty, truth, faith, knowledge and justice in everyday life. This noble aim cannot be achieved without your cooperation. We at Emmanuel value your inputs as a parent / guardian. To have a better future, we need to educate the children of today.
Thank you for your interest in Emmanuel Mission School. We assure you that we will provide the excellence in education that you are searching for your dear child. We thank you for choosing Emmanuel.
Emmanuel = God with us.
May God Almighty bless India and all its citizens.
No child goes unschooled.
